Daddy, Will You Dance With Me?
It's such a shame,
that come my wedding day,
I'll be alone walking down that aisle.
Because the one who is meant to be beside me,
hasn't been there for me in a long while.
All I have are our memories,
and the childhood times we spent together.
The father and daughter bond isn't meant to be broken,
it's supposed to last forever.
So when the day comes,
the biggest day of my life.
A vision in white,
waiting to become his wife.
It's then I wish I could just erase all the hurt,
for once dry my eyes, and put it aside.
Because I don't want to have a father/daughter dance
without you at my side.
Even though you have caused me many tears and pain,
the good times still glimmer through.
And they give me hope that one day change will come,
and bring me back to you.
A father and daughter bond will be mended,
and the love we have will start anew.

It's the only hope I have of having a real father/daughter dance.
